SoroSoke is committed to your right to control your personal data. Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and applicable privacy law, you may request partial or full deletion of your data at any time. All deletion options described below are available directly inside the app or web version — no need to email support unless you are locked out of your account.
Step 1 — Sign in to SoroSoke
All data and account deletion actions require you to be signed in to your account. Choose the platform that works best for you:
Once the app or website is open, sign in using your registered phone number (OTP) or email address and password. If you have forgotten your credentials, tap Forgot password on the sign-in screen or contact support@sorosokegpl.com.
Option A — Delete specific content (posts, reactions, or messages)
Use this option if you want to remove only some of your content while keeping your account active. You can choose to delete any combination of your posts, reactions (comments & likes), and direct messages.

Open Settings
Tap the Settings icon (cog/gear) from the top navigation bar at the top of the home feed screen. -
Tap "Delete Contents & Account"
Scroll down the Settings page and tap the red Delete Contents & Account option. -
Tap "Delete Contents"
On the next screen, tap Delete Contents (the eraser icon at the top). A bottom sheet will appear. -
Select what you want to delete
Tick one or more boxes:
• Posts — all posts you have created
• Reactions — all comments and reactions you have made
• Messages — all direct messages you have sent -
Tap "Delete selected contents"
Review your selection, then tap the red Delete selected contents button. A success message will confirm the deletion. This action is immediate and irreversible.
Deleting your contents removes the selected data from public view and from SoroSoke's active database, but does not close your account. Your profile, S-Coin balance, follower relationships, and login credentials remain intact. To remove everything, see Option B below.
Option B — Permanently delete your account
On the Android, iOS app or web version (app.sorosokegpl.com)

Open Settings
Tap the Settings icon (cog/gear) from the top navigation bar at the top of the home feed screen. -
Tap "Delete Contents & Account"
Tap the red Delete Contents & Account option. -
Tap "Delete Account"
Tap the Delete Account row (user-slash icon). A confirmation dialog will appear explaining that this action is permanent and irreversible. -
Tap "Delete my account"
In the confirmation dialog, tap Delete my account to proceed to identity verification. -
Verify your identity
• Email account holders: Enter your password in the field provided and tap Confirm.
• Phone-only account holders: Tap Send code — a one-time verification code will be sent to your registered phone number via SMS. Enter the code and tap Verify. -
Account deleted
Once verified, your account is permanently deleted. You will be redirected to the Welcome screen. A final confirmation message will appear.

Anonymised and aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained for statistical and compliance purposes in accordance with our Privacy Policy and NDPR Compliance statement.
Can’t access your account?
If you are locked out of your account and cannot complete the deletion steps above, you can submit a deletion request directly to our support team. We will verify your identity manually and process the deletion within 14 business days.
Email support@sorosokegpl.com with the subject line
"Data Deletion Request" and include:
• Your registered phone number or email address
• Your SoroSoke handle (@username), if known
• Whether you want partial content deletion or full account deletion
Our team will respond within 3 business days.
Your data rights under the NDPR
As a user of SoroSoke, you have the following rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) 2019 and the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023:
- Right of access — you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — you may correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data via your profile settings.
- Right to erasure — you may request deletion of your personal data as described on this page.
- Right to data portability — you may request a machine-readable export of your data.
- Right to object — you may object to certain types of data processing.
