Terms of Service

The agreement between you and SoroSoke Global Platforms Ltd governing your use of SoroSoke, SoroSoke Jobs, and any associated mobile applications.

Effective 1 May 2026 · Last updated 5 May 2026

⚠ Plain English summary

By using SoroSoke or SoroSoke Jobs, you agree to these Terms. The short version: be honest, don’t harass anyone, don’t commit fraud, post real content. We’ll pay you what you’ve earned. If we have to suspend or close your account, we’ll tell you why and you can appeal. Nigerian law governs these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and SoroSoke Global Platforms Ltd (RC No. 1801907) governing your use of the SoroSoke platform, the SoroSoke Jobs platform (jobs.sorosokegpl.com), and any associated mobile applications (together, the “Platforms”). By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Platforms, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platforms.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • You must provide accurate and current information during sign-up and keep it updated.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password and access credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • You may not create more than one account or share your account with another person.
  • You may close your account at any time. We retain certain information after closure as set out in our Privacy Policy.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Post content that is illegal, defamatory, threatening, or that incites violence or hatred against any person or group;
  • Post content that is obscene, sexually exploitative, or harmful to minors;
  • Impersonate any other person, organisation, or government body, or misrepresent your affiliation;
  • Engage in coordinated inauthentic behaviour, vote-rigging, S-Points gaming, fake referrals, or any form of platform manipulation;
  • Use the Platforms to commit fraud, money laundering, or any other crime under Nigerian law;
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or use automated tools against the Platforms without our written permission;
  • Distribute malware, conduct denial-of-service attacks, or otherwise interfere with the Platforms’ operation;
  • Harvest personal data of other users or use that data for any purpose other than the one for which it was disclosed.

4. S-Points and contribution rules

S-Points are a creator reward metric issued by SGPL to recognise meaningful participation and contribution on the Platforms. The following rules apply:

  • S-Points are not real money, are not a tradable asset, and cannot be withdrawn, transferred, or exchanged for cash.
  • S-Points balances are visible in your account dashboard. We reserve the right to correct erroneous credits, reverse fraudulent earnings, and adjust balances as part of routine reconciliation.
  • S-Points do not have a linear monetary exchange rate and are used as internal platform metrics for contribution and participation.
  • We may withhold or claw back S-Points where we have reasonable grounds to believe they were earned through fraud, duplicate accounts, fake content, or other breach of these Terms.
  • Members with repeated permanently frozen posts may become ineligible for monetisation or other platform recognition, and S-Points may be reduced where moderation action is taken.

5. SoroSoke Jobs — specific terms

If you apply for a Community Manager (CM) or Revenue Scout (RS) role via SoroSoke Jobs:

  • You agree to take the certification assessment without third-party assistance, and you accept the published anti-cheat rules including session monitoring.
  • The certification fee, if any, is disclosed at the point of application and is non-refundable except where required by law or where SGPL fails to deliver the assessment as advertised.
  • If certified and deployed, you agree to honour the published stipend, KPI, and conduct rules for your role. SGPL may de-certify you for material breach.
  • Certification is for the role and territory it is granted for. It is not transferable.

6. User content and licences

You retain ownership of the content you post (“User Content”). By posting, you grant SGPL a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, distribute, and display your User Content for the purposes of operating, promoting, and improving the Platforms. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies legitimately made for backup, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

You represent that you have the rights to post the User Content you submit and that it does not infringe any third party’s rights.

7. Moderation and enforcement

We use a mix of automated systems and human moderators (including certified Community Managers) to review content. We may remove, blur, label, age-restrict, or geo-restrict content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines. Where moderation results in account-level action, you will be notified and given an opportunity to appeal.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account if you materially breach these Terms, where required by law, or to protect users, the Platforms, or third parties from harm. Where reasonably possible, we’ll notify you in advance and explain why. You may appeal a suspension at appeals@sorosokegpl.com within 14 days.

You may close your account at any time. On closure, your access ceases; data retention follows the rules in our Privacy Policy; any pending earned S-Points may be adjusted or removed in line with confirmed Terms breaches and moderation actions.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The Platforms are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we work hard to keep them running, we don’t guarantee they will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, SGPL is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platforms. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Platforms is capped at the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) NGN 50,000.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Nigerian law (including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death and personal injury caused by negligence).

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we’ll notify you at least 30 days before they take effect via email and an in-app banner. If you don’t agree to the new Terms, you may close your account before they take effect.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platforms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria, save that we may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. Before going to court, both parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution by writing to legal@sorosokegpl.com for at least 30 days.
